Digital menu for Swiss restaurants (2026): QRDERS vs NewMenu.ch

If you run a restaurant, cafe or bar in Switzerland and want your menu behind a QR code, the useful question is what each service includes, not which page looks better. We compared NewMenu.ch and QRDERS using what NewMenu.ch publishes on its own site. We make QRDERS, so we have an interest in the result. That is why the source and the date are visible and you can check every line yourself.

Where is NewMenu.ch better?

  • NewMenu.ch is a Swiss company. Its site names ARATOURS SA in Fribourg as the owner of the trademark, so the company behind the service is based in the same country as your business.
  • It can connect to your till. The page says the menu can send the guest's choices to cash-register software through HubRise. QRDERS does not connect to a till.
  • It sells longer bundles. Eco covers six months or a year in one payment, and the Pro bundle raises the dish limit from 200 to unlimited. If you prefer paying once for a longer period, that fits.

QRDERS is narrower: a free menu for a local business that every guest can read in their own language, with no monthly fee and no scan limit. The menu your guests open carries no adverts and no QRDERS watermark.

What should you check before choosing?

Ask each service the same questions. Does the free plan have a time limit or a limit on dishes? Is translation included in the free plan, or only in a paid one? Does the guest menu show adverts or the provider's name? What happens to the printed QR code when you change a price? Can you export your menu if you leave?
